View With New Eyes!

Mark Eyes ii

The moments of the sacred can be hidden in plain sight, blinded from us, because of the ordinary mundane routine of life. The sacred is there to be found, but it begins with putting on new glasses, viewing with new eyes, when we look through a new lens, with practice, we will begin to see more clearly. (Like a new glasses prescription, the eyes have to adjust to the new lenses)

As a song states: ‘I can see clearly now the rain has gone.’ We get caught up in our daily funk, the grind of going through the motions, caught in our life’s storms, at times our life issues don’t clear, the rain downpours even more. It is like we have our own personal rain cloud dampening our spirits, we are wet and soggy being weighed down more, trudging through the muddy puddles.

We have to hold onto hope that this too will pass, like weather changes, the seasons change, and our circumstances will change. It is waiting them out, has God given us these feelings, experiences, to teach us a life lesson, to help us grow spiritually? I like this following quote; it states how I feel at times, possible you will resonate with it also. “In every shining moment of happiness is that drop of poison the knowledge that pain will come again. Be honest to those you love, show your pain. To suffer is as human as to breathe.” From Harry Potter and the cursed child, John Tiffany & Jack Thorne, page 258.

Do I live in the season to long; we are in the season of Lent when I’m writing these thoughts? The question I asked myself, am I in this season of Lent all the time?

God! “we do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you” 2Chron 20:12b God knows what to do with me, with you. We at times cannot comprehend the long-range vision of our God. But we must take confidence in the fact if God is for us who can be against us. God always works for our good and His glory (Romans. 8:28). We must have faith, hope, and love. Trusting that these attributes, and when we are lacking details, having confidence, that things are being worked out in our lives, to give honor and glory to God.

We have, to begin with, this end in mind, think about what the outcome will be, we have to choose to look for God in every moment of our lives. May our prayer and our eyes be on you, Lord. Let us have the vision, the goal, and keeping before us the purpose that results in visualizing where God is in our motives and desires. Let us keep God before us at all the times. Doing everything as unto God and not man. At times, we can only see partially and don’t see the full picture, feeling blind to the workings of God.

It is because Gods ways are higher than our ways, how can we comprehend God’s ways fully with our finite minds. It’s about entrusting our lives into the hands of God and allowing our eyes to be opened, receiving illumination and inspiration from the one who can give us all we need. We have to overcome our aversion to the regular. Asking why and what might I miss out on from the Lord, what might it cost you? To look for a glimpse of the sacred as we encounter God in work, rest, and play. Everything is not a chore to be done, but an opportunity to encounter God in everyday routines and in the ordinary things of life. It is about finding sacred meaning in the ordinary, so as to experience God and be surprised by the encounter in the simple small, sometimes insignificant events of life. Taste and see that the Lord is good, and allow God to help you see and attain your greatest purpose. Redeem the time

We have to overcome our aversion to the regular. Asking why and what might I miss out on from the Lord, what might it cost you? To stop and look for a glimpse of the sacred, we might encounter God in work, rest, and play. It is about finding sacred meaning in the ordinary, so as to experience God and be surprised by the encounter in the simple small, sometimes insignificant events of life. Everything is not to be seen or viewed as a chore to be done, but an opportunity to encounter God in the everyday routines of life, through the ordinary things of life. It is about finding sacred meaning in the ordinary, so as to experience God and be surprised by this encounter. Having a childlike curiousity, finding joy in the smallest, in the simple small, sometimes insignificant events of life. Taste and see that the Lord is good, and allow God to help you see and attain your greatest purpose. Redeem the time

Taste and see that the Lord is good, and allow God to help us see and attain your greatest purpose. Redeem the time we have lost and not have an aversion of the ordinary. Look at life with new eyes.
