Passion

The words of a song have been going through my mind part of this week.
This is a song “One Holy Passion” I heard years ago, the song is a passionate cry or prayer of the heart, a longing to be connected to The Lord.
To be in the place of in your sweet spot, your passion, to be about your purpose and desire, deeply enveloped within The Lord, consumed with a deep longing to be embraced by the Lord and embrace all you are made to be.

“Blessed are those who recognize their spiritual need… for the kingdom of heaven belongs to them!” Paraphrase of Luke 6:20- 23. This made me think, what is the kingdom of God? The kingdom of God is righteousness and peace and Joy in the Holy Spirit. Romans 14:17b. This being in a right place with God and full of peace and joy. This is possible with the help of the Holy Spirit. For those who are lead of the spirit these are the sons and daughters of God. Romans 8:14. This is why we need the Holy Spirits help to make us whole, and enter into the holiness that the Lord is seeking after.

One Holy Passion Lyrics – George Butron & Andy Park

Let me burn with holy fire
marked by purpose and desire
Set apart unto your name
my life, my heart, my strength you claime
Now in your holiness I see
intense desire calling me
Away from what possessed my soul
you have captured me and made me whole
(chorus)
Holy, holy, holy Lord
God Almighty I adore
Your glory, now my eyes can see
you’re the King who reigns in majesty
One holy passion now I know
As to a ruined world I go
To kindle fire, spread a flame
That will reveal your holy name

There is that yearning, the knowledge that there is more to be experienced of the Lord and to be entered into. The Lord is preparing the bride for the groom, Jesus. We have to go through this refining process. The Lord wants the things that are holding us back removed, we have to go about clearing those things with the Lords help, gently peel away all that is in the way. Those things that are preventing all we can be, from coming to pass, the bad has to surface and the good has to come to surfacing, so that the best we can be is revealed. There is a needed restoration of the body of Christ, his church. This is a song “Restoration” I love this song, it has also been going through my mind.

Restoration
by David Brymer
Album: Unceasing
by IHOP KC

You bring restoration,
You bring restoration,
You bring restoration, to my soul.

You’ve taken my pain
and You call me by a new name.
You’ve taken my shame
and in its place, you give me joy.

You take my mourning, turn it into dancing.
You take my weeping, turn it into laughing.
You take my mourning, turn it into dancing.
You take my sadness, turn it into joy.

Hallelujah, Hallelujah, You make all things new,
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, You make all things new,
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, You make all things new,
all things new.
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, You make all things new.

We need to be a people that are restored and are passionate, being about that which is pleasing to our Lord.
